In Brief About ZG Rally
Zagreb Rally is the first event in the NEW Croatian Open Rally Raid Championship. We organize it with the aim of promoting the rally raid motorcycle discipline and bringing rally raid closer to all riders!
The Bivouac of the Zagreb Rally 2024 is located in Zagreb, at the Petruševac campsite, and will take place over two days, consisting of two stages.
Riders
All riders participating in the Zagreb Rally are required to have:
- A valid driver’s license
- Valid rider’s insurance*
*INSURANCE POLICY for motorcycle sports, with coverage of 5,000 euros for death and 10,000 euros for permanent disability. The policy must cover the dates of the Zagreb Rally – April 6th and 7th.
The rider must present original documents or proof of possession of the mentioned documents (copy, photograph, etc.) on the day of the race, during vehicle verification and technical inspection.
No license is needed if rider don’t want to compete in the Croatia Open Rally Raid Championship.
Croatian Open Rally Raid Championship
Riders who want to compete in the Croatian Open Championship must have (valid):
- rider’s license (issued by Croatian Motorcycle Federation)
- driving license
- rider’s insurance
- start permit (from your national federation)*
*Start permit can be integrated into the rider’s license (usually on the back) or issued as a separate document..
Rider’s License (issued by CMF)
Usual procedure to obtain a rider’s license for participation in the Croatian Open Rally Raid Championship -> Riders are required to:
- Fill out the LICENSE APPLICATION and have it certified by their club [check with your club]
- Attach the MEDICAL EXAMINATION FORM [check with your club]
- Attach an INSURANCE POLICY* for motorcycle sports, with coverage of 5,000 euros for death and 10,000 euros for permanent disability.
- Submit the mentioned documents to your Motorcycle Federation
*The insurance policy must cover ALL races from the Championship calendar: Zagreb Rally (April 6th and 7th); The Witch Rally (July 6th and 7th); and Dinaric Rally (September 8th – 14th).

Navigation (ROADBOOK)
Navigation at Zagreb Rally 2024 will be solely via roadbook. GPS will not be available!
Paper and digital roadbooks will be distributed.
Paper radoboks for Motorbikes and Quads will be in standard “Roll” format, suitable for all modern Paper roadbook readers / holders devices.
Paper roadbooks for SSV will bi in “book” A4 format.
Digital doradbooks will be distributed in 2 different ways:
- PDF format, for “classic” roadbook reading applications, sent by email.
- Digital roadbook available in Roadbook Reading applications we will use in ZG rally:

- Terra Pirata App.

Roadbook Reading apps
Groups
The ADV group will tackle a lighter and shorter track, suitable for riders with large engines and some off-road experience.
The Rally group track is more challenging than the ADV track and is designed for riders with more experience and/or lighter vehicles. While the Rally track isn’t highly demanding, expect plenty of water, mud, grass, slippery terrain… In addition to being tougher, the Enduro track is significantly longer than the ADV track.

Promotion of Rally Raid Discipline
The Zagreb Rally provides an opportunity for riders who have not yet experienced rally raid, as well as all enthusiasts of demanding motorcycle races organized in the style of the famous Dakar Rally, to familiarize themselves with this exciting discipline, completely new to Croatian motorsport.
In addition to the race itself, various entertaining activities are planned. We highlight a fast-paced competition in rolling enduro tires, open to all visitors and participants.
