Rally Training That Shapes Beginners into Skilled Riders Ready to Attack Any Rally Challenge

Dust in the air, stony paths under the wheels, roadbook scrolling, ODO fine tuned. This is where your rally career begins. The Dinaric Roadbook Bootcamp is a seven day, in depth training built around one goal: to make the roadbook your second language so Dinaric’s rocky stages become your playground.

This program promise an unforgettable experience, combining expert training, breathtaking scenery, and the camaraderie of fellow riders, all against the rugged backdrop of the Dinarides.

You will ride in full rally rhythm, from marking your first tulip to riding a complete stage under race conditions. Step by step you learn to read, trust, and ride the notes at pace, to master CAP and trip calibration, to sharpen navigation under load, and to build terrain craft on real Dinaric limestone.

Set in the Dinaric Alps with a central bivouac, the program blends core skills with advanced navigation for both newcomers and seasoned competitors, guided by instructors who keep it honest, safe, and fast :).

Two 2026 sessions are planned: May and July, same curriculum and same crew.

What’s Included:

  • Expert coaching and personal guidance: tailored instruction from professional, friendly, highly skilled rally rider instructors, with small groups, rider assessment on day one, clear goals for each day, and 1:1 feedback after key sections.
  • Elite training load: intense off road riding combined with complex navigation drills that mirror real rally conditions, including pace management, error recovery, and safe passing etiquette.
  • Practical application, not classroom talk: hands on roadbook work, challenging routes, simulated rally stages in real world conditions, time controls, liaison routines, and refueling procedures.
  • Daily rhythm you can rely on: morning briefings, safety checks, tracking and timekeeping setup, clear stage notes; evening roadbook analysis and briefing to prepare for the next day.
  • Accommodation and meals:
    • Šuki’s hotel-restaurant in the Bivoauc (twin, double, and single rooms)
    • Hotel in Knin center (15 min ride)
    • Unlimited parking space for tents and vehicles in the Bivouac.
  • Distances and Stages: total of approximately 1000 to 1500 km split into 6 roadbooks; if rider skill levels differ, we form two groups to keep everyone on a productive pace.
  • Full support on and off the stage: safety oversight on course, recovery support, and mechanic assistance throughout the training.
  • Mechanical backup you can trust: spare parts service for Yamaha, KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas models 2017 and newer, plus provision of all standard tools, lubricants, and oils, with a daily maintenance window guided by the service crew.
  • Navigation equipment setup help: Best practice tips and tricks; best nav setup for you;  quick checks before every departure.

Why join

Because roadbook navigation or rally racing technique isn’t something you “get” in a single ride. It takes repetition, mistakes, corrections and guidance. In this bootcamp, you’ll get it all – the theory, the practice, the debriefs, the freedom to push, and the feedback to improve.

This training has a proven record of turning newcomers into rally stars and helping experienced riders find their next gains, turning them into complete rally badasses. Whether this is your first taste of rally riding with a roadbook or you already have serious rally miles, you will leave a better, more confident rider. The bootcamp adapts to you with clear progressions, speed-appropriate groups, and targeted coaching, plus timed sections and daily debriefs, so every rider is challenged at the right level and sees real, measurable improvement.

Top Locations You’ll Explore

From the Croatian Velebit to the high plateaus of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Dinarides give you a mix of rock, forest, wind and space you cannot fake. Long traverses above the sea, clean limestone steps, broken climbs and balcony views over deep valleys.
  • Karst country

Mike Wiedemann

Instructor at trainings:
May 2026
July 2026

Mike is a two-time Dakar finisher, and Original by Motul stage winner. He is 2025 Dinaric Rally overall winner, with his Ténéré 700!!

He grew up in Germany around bikes, got his first PW50 at four, and broke his femur a few weeks later, which did not slow him down for long. After enduro titles as a teenager, he moved into rally raid and became the youngest German to finish Dakar in 2022. The way he tells it, rally changed his mindset and became his life, and he funds it by coaching and training riders between races.

On the ground he is calm and direct, he builds speed through clean roadbook work, CAP discipline, and trip calibration, then layers in decision making under pressure. He likes working with big twins as much as with lightweight enduros, and he proves the point by winning on a Ténéré 700 in the Dinaric mountains. His style is simple, ride smart, ride smooth, become the best version of yourself.

Tobias Ebster

Instructor at trainings:
TBA

Tobias Ebster is one of the fastest rising names in rally raid. On his Dakar debut in 2024 he won the Original by Motul class without assistance, finished 20th overall, and was voted Rookie of the Year, a rare triple on a first attempt.

In 2025 he stepped up his program with BAS World KTM Racing, delivered 9th overall at Dakar, placed 2nd in Rally2, and topped the privateer ranks. The result confirmed he belongs in the front group.

That form earned him a factory call. In May 2025 Hero MotoSports announced Ebster as a new team rider, highlighting his Rookie of the Year award in 2024 and his top-ten overall in 2025.

Tobias has proven himself as one of the most exciting up-and-coming talents in rally racing, showcasing relentless determination, razor-sharp skills, and a deep love for the sport that resonates both on and off the track. This guy lives and breathes rally racing.

This is your opportunity to train with one of the best in the game, a true master who’s not only conquered the Dakar but is also shaping the future of the sport.

Untamed Academy is the place for aspiring rally legends. The question is: are you ready to keep up?
